Our Story

Asklepion (A-sklep-ion) Remedies is named after the former school of medicine founded by Imhotep in Memphis, Egypt. Asklepion School of Medicine remained famous for two thousand years; some 2,200 years before the Western Father of Medicine Hippocrates was born.

The founder (Imhotep) according to Sir William Osler, was the: “the first figure of a physician to stand out clearly from the mists of antiquity.” Imhotep diagnosed and treated over 200 diseases:15 diseases of the abdomen, 11 of the bladder, 10 of the rectum, 29 of the eyes, and 18 of the skin, hair, nails, and tongue. Imhotep extracted medicine from plants, hence an essential oil. Asklepion Remedies was created based on the foundation of natural healing.
